(340) June 5.th 1735 Then recd of M.r Charles Daniell two Shillings & four Pence 1/2 for the Alienation Fine of the within mentioned Land Record.d June the 12.th 1735 Benj.a Tasker 6 1/2 x.d This Indenture made the thirtieth Day of May in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred & thirty five between Will.m Douglass of Cecil County Planter & Mary his wife of the one part and Benj.a Tasker of the City of Annap.o Esq.r of the other Part Whereas John Scutt late of Baltimore County Deceased by his last Will & Testament bearing Date on or about the fourth Day of May in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred & three did Devise to the s.d Mary Douglas by the name of his Daughter Mary Scutt his then Dwelling Plantation with two Tracts of Land belonging to the same the One known by the Name by the Name of Morning Choice he other other by the Name of Mornings Choice Addition lying & being in Baltimore County to her & her heirs of her Body after the Decease of his then Wife as by the s.d Will now remaining upon record in the Commissary his Office Reference being thereunto had may more fully & at large Appear And Whereas by an Act of Assembly ^made^ at A sessions of Assembly held at the City of Annapolis the twentieth Day of March in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred & thirty four Entitled & Act to Cutt of the Entail of two Tracts of Land in Baltimore County the one Called Mornings Choice the other Called Mornings Choice Addition & to Entail in Lien thereof Part of Unlians Rest in Cecil County it was Enacted that the s.d Mary the wife of the s.d William Douglas should be & the Said Mary was thereby vested with an Estate in fee simple in the af.d Tracts of Land Called Mornings Choice & Mornings Choice Addition as fully & Amply as if the same had been Devised to her in fee simple as by the Said Act of Assembly Reference being thereunto had may more fully & at large Appear Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said William Douglas & Mary his wife for & in Consideration of the Sum Sixty six pounds thirteen Shillings & four Pence Sterl (Money) |
