                            Whereas my Father M.r Phillip Shapleigh
          had formerly surveyed and Laid Out for him sundry
          Tracts and parcells of Land Lying in Dorchester County
          That is to say Shapleighs Rest surveyed on or about
          the Twenty fourth Day of December Anno One Thousand Six
          Hundred and sixty Eight for one hundred acres Lying in a
          Creek of Hunger River Shapleighs Purchase surveyed on
          or about the Twenty third of December Anno One Thousand
          ^six hundred^ and sixty Eight for three hundred acres at a marked Pine
          in Hungar River Westley Neck surveyed on or about the
          Twenty first of September Anno One Thousand six hundred
          seventy three for Two hundred acres on the east side
          Hunger River and Westly Bridge surveyed on or about
          the Twentieth of September Anno One Thousand six hundred
          and seventy three on the Western Side Transquakin in
          all seven hundred acres which said Lands being Considerably
          in arrears for the Quitt Rents due unto M.r Richard
          Bennett of Queen Anns County Gent And also apprehending
          the said Lands may Lye Incumbered with other
          Hands and Rather than pay the said arrears of Rent
          or Runn to any Charge for Discovering the said Lands I
          and Contented to resign and Relinquish all my Right
          and Title unto the said Lands and every part thereof
          unto the said Richard Bennett of Queen Anns County
          Gent and therefore for these Reasons and in Consideration
          of Five shillings sterl money to me in hand paid by the
          said Richard Bennett have remised Released and for ever
          Quit Claimed and by these presents Doth Remise release
          and for ever Quitt Claime unto the said Richard Bennett
          his Heirs and Assignes All my right Title Claime Intrest
          property and demand whatsoever unto all the Said
          severall Tracts and Parcells of Land Surveyed & taken
          up for my Father as aforesaid To have and to hold
          the aforesaid Tracts ^& parcells^ of Land and Premisses with their
          unto him the Said Richard Bennett his Heirs and assign.s
          for ever so that neither I the Said John Shapleigh
          nor my heirs nor any other person or persons whatsoever
          for him or them or in his or their names or in the
          Name Right or stead of any of them shall or will hereafter
          Have Claime Challenge or Demand any Estate
          Right Title Property or Intrest of in or to any the Said
          Severall and particular Tracts of Land or any part or
          parcell thereof But from all & every action Right Estate
          Title Interest Claime and Demand of in and to the
          Said Severall & particular Tracts of Land or any part
