Cash p.d  Know all men by these Presents that I Sam.l Griffith of Calvert County
       Planter do owe & stand justly Indebted to Lewis Griffith of the same Co.ty
       Planter his heirs or Assignes in the full sum of three hundred pounds
       Currant money of Maryland to Which Payment well & truly to be
       Made I bind my self my heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs & assignes firmly by these
       Presents Witness my hand & seal this second Day of March one
       Thousand seven hundred thirty two three

       The Condition of the above Obligation is such that whereas
       I the Above bounded Sam.l Griffith hath this Day Agreed to give
       the aboves.d Lewis Griffith all the Land hereafter specified being
       Part of a Tract Called Welch Poole Begining at the Third Bounded
       Tree of the whole Tract it being a Poplar & Stands at the head of a Branch
       Called the Muddy Branch & runing from thence with the s.d Branch
       to the Southermost Line of the whole Tract Called Welch Poole as
       Afores.d thencewith the s.d Southermost Line East North East to the
       South East Corner Tree of the whole Tract thence North with the
       Original Line of the whole Tract to the Original Bounded Tree of
       the whole Tract thence with the Original Lines of the whole Tract
       to the First begining Poplar Together with all Profitts & Advantages
       Thereunto belonging Reserving to my self During my Natural
       Life all Proffitts & Advantages thereunto belonging of the whole
       bequest as Afores.d & if it should so happen that my Wife should if
       shee out Live me Should Clame any Part of Dower of or into any
       Part of the af.d Land then the above Obligation to be Good in Law
       & I Desire it may be Lawfull for my s.d Son Lewis Griffith to
       Sew my Estate for the s.d Penalty as af.d Then this Obligation to be
       Void & of none effect or else to stand Remain & be in full Power
       & Virtue
