x.d  This Indenture Quinque Partite made the twenty
       fifth day of September Anno Domini seventeen hundred & thirty
       three Between Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esq.r
       of the first part Benjamin Tasker of the same place Esq.r of the
       second part Charles Carroll of the same place Surgeon of the third
       part Daniel Dulany of the same place Esq.r of the fourth ^part^ and
       Daniel Carroll of Duddington Mannor in Prince Georges County
       Gent of the fifth part Whereas Thomas Taylor of Baltimore
       County by his Deed Bearing Date the nineteenth Day of May
       Anno Dom seventeen hundred & twenty four Did convey unto
       Philip Smith of the City of London Merchant the several Lands herein
       after Mentioned Viz.t Cold Comfort Containing fifty acres Rich
       Levell Containing one hundred acres Fox Hall Containing
       one hundred acres With several Goods & Chattels as by the
       said Deed Inrolled in the Records of Baltimore County in Liber
       I S N.o G folio 318 may appear With a proviso that ^afd^ Repayment
       of a sum of Money therein specified the said Deed
       should be Void & Whereas the said Thomas Taylor by
       Another Instrument bearing Date the seventeenth day
       of February Anno Dom seventeen hundred & thirty did
       Release unto the said Philip Smith the Equity of Redemption
       of him the said Thomas of in & to the Lands & Chattles in
       the first Deed specified And Whereas a Certain William
       Chapman of Annarrundell County factor & agent for the
       said Philip Smith by Virtue of a power of Attorney from
       the said Philip Smith by his Deed bearing Date the second
       Day of February seventeen hundred & thirty one Did Convey
       unto Charles ^Carroll^ of the City of Annapolis Esq.r the several Lands
       Conveyed & Released by the said Taylor to the said ^Philip^ Smith
