(220) x.d This Indenture made the Tewty fifth day of September in the Year of our God seventeen hundred & thirty three Between Charles Carroll of Annapolis Surgeon of the one part and Benjamin Tasker Charles Carroll & Daniel Dulany of Annapolis Esquires & Daniel Carroll of Duddington Mannor in Prince Georges County Gent of the other part Whereas the said parties by their several quinque partite Deeds by them severally executed bearing Date the first day of October Anno Dom One ^thousand^ seven hundred & thirty one Mutually Covenanted Agreed & Concluded to enter enter into a copartnership or Company & at their equal Charges & by equal Dividents to make one stock of Three thousand five hundred pounds sterling as in such Manner as in the said Deed was Mentioned at their equal adventure & for their Common & equal Gain & Loss to be employed used & Laid Out in the purchase of Lands Contiguous to Patapsco River in Baltimore County & erecting & building on Gwins Falls or a Branch of the said falls called Charles's Run on a tract of Land Called Mill haven one good sufficient furnace for running pigg Metal from Iron Oar with all other Buildings Necessary & Requisite to be Occupied with such furnace & supplying materials for continuing & carrying on the said Works with effect and whereas it is further Contained in the said Deed that the said Charles Carroll surgeon should sell convey assigne & transferr unto the said Copartners in Company to & for their Common Benefitt & Use eighteen hundred Acres of Land Contiguous to Mill haven & Lying on the West side of Gwins falls in Consideration of six hundred & thirty four pounds sterl to be allowed him as so much paid by him of his share or Divident of seven hundred pounds sterlings towards the said works Reserving to the said Charles Carroll his Executors Adm.rs or assignes for the term of five Years Next ensuing the said first Day of October seventeen hundred & thirty one the Rents of the several plantations on the said Lands then being sealed with free Liberty of house boot fire boor & all other previledges |
