of the Said Robert Carrington his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assignes and Lastly it is Agreed by and Between the said parties to these presents that the aforesaid Negroes shall remain and Continue in the service and Occupation of such Person or Persons as the Said Robert Gordon shall think fitt for the Benefitt of the Said Hercules Ayleway untill Default of the Premisses aforesaid In Witness I have hereunto sett my hand & seale this Twenty fourth day of June One Thousand Seven hundred and Thirty One Sealed & Delivered Hercules Ayleway seale In presence of Ch Browne James Gordon On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Indorst Vizt July 30.th 1731 Then Came before me the subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the Provinciall Court M.r Charles Browne and made Oath upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God that he see the within Named M.r Hercules Ayleway seale & Deliver this Instrument of Writing as his Act and Deed Benj.a Tasker 6 sides (Recorded this 30.th July 1731) x.d This Indenture made the Twenty fourth Day of February Anno Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Between John Cromwell of Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland Gent of the one part and Peter Dunscombe Mariner of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Cromwell for and in Consideration of the sume of seventeen pounds Current Money of the province aforesaid to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge and of every part & parcell thereof Doth fully clearly & absolutely acquitt and Discharge him the Said Peter Dunscomb and his heirs for ever Hath and by these Presents Doth give Grant Bargain (Sell) |
