(197) before me the Day & Year afd Robert Gordon Recorded 14 July 1733 4 1/2 Baltimore x.d Charles Absolute Lord & proprietary of the provinces of Maryland & Avalon in America & Baron of Baltimore in the Kingdom of Ireland to Samuel Ogle of the parish of S.t James in the Liberty of Westminster Esq.r & to all others to whom these presents shall Come & any ways Concern Greeting know all Men that we in Consideration of our regard & Effection which we bear to you Samuel Ogle Esq.r & Reposeing Special trust ^Confidence^ in Your Loyalty prudence conduct & fidelity have Nominated Constituted & appointed & with the Approbation of his ^most^ sacred Majesty King George the Second Doe by these presents nominate constitute & appoint you our said trusty & well Beloved Samuel Ogle Esq.r Lieutenant General & Cheif Governour of our s.d province of Maryland & Avalon in America & also Commander in Cheif both by sea & Land of all the forces Raised or to be Raised within the Limitts of our said provinces on the Islands territorys & Dominions thereunto Belonging And overall such forces to opponit proper officers & them to move & Displace at your will & pleasure And further we Doe by these presents Impower & Authorize you our said Trusty & Well beloved Samuel Ogle to Call & Summon any General Assembly or Assemblys & them to prorogue or Disolve at Your Own will & pleasure And Likewise in our name but with the Advice and Consent of Our Council & the Delegates of the freemen in the said provinces in Assembly Convened to make & Enact such Laws As |
