113 Justices appointed by Commission for this Province the Day and Year above specified Philip Lynes Province Just 28.th June 1708 Then Came the within Names Benony Fanning and Hannah his wife before us whose Names are hereunto subscribed two of her Majesties Justices for Charles County and acknowledged the within written Deed according to Act of Assembly in such Case as Provided W.m Harbert 8 s.ds Recorded Octob.r 18.th 1732 Robert Yates Maryland fs.t Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Balt &c To all Our Bailifs and Good people to whom these presents shall Come Know Ye that of Our Special Grace we have pardoned unto Ellis Francis late of Talbott County Labourer as a proper object of our Mercy the Suit of Our peace and whatsoever appertaineth to us for that the said Ellis Francis viz.t the twentieth day of November w.ch was in the year of Our Lord God Seventeen hundred thirty and one with force and Arms at the Mansion house of a Certain Jacob Cole at Oxford in the County aforesaid in the [illegible] Viz.t between the tenth and the Eleaventh hour after the Moon of the same day feloniously and burglariously did break and Enter and ten Shillings Current Money of Maryland in Money numbred one blew Great Coat of the Value of ten Shillings like money One flannel Jackett of the value of one shilling and three pence like money one pair of yarn stockings of the value of one shilling like money one kerchief of the value of six pence like money one silver shirt buckle of the value of one Shilling and six pence like money one pair of brass shoe buckles of the value of six pence like money of the Goods and Chattles of the af.d Jacob Cole the af.d house then and there being found then and there feloniously and burglariously did steal take and carry ^bear^ away against our peace good rule and Government whereof he was Convict before our Trusty and well beloved Levin Gale and James Hollyday Esq.rs our Justices of Oyer and Terminer and Goal Delivery for our said County of Talbott and Grant unto him our firm peace and will not that he suffer any Corporal punishment therefore but that he shall nevertheless he shall stand and be in the same plight state and condition to all intents and purposes as if the said felony and burglary whereof the said Ellis Francis hath been Convict had never been done and ^or^ Comitted Witness Our Trusty and well beloved Saml Ogle Esq.r Gov.r and Comander in Cheife in and over said province of Maryland this twenty fourth day of October in the Eighteenth year of Our Dominion &r Annoq Dm 1732 Saml great Ogle seal |
