(78)  x.d This Indenture made the seventeenth day of August for
             the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred &
             twenty three Between Richard Smithers and Mary his Wife
             Ex.rs of the Last will and testament of M.r Jn.o Carvel Late of
             Kent County deced of y.e one parte ^and^ M.rs Matha Paca of Baltemore
             County Widow of the other parte Wittnesseth that in consideration
             of y.e s.d Matha Paca saveing & keeping harmless y.e s.d Richard Smithers
             from all demands w.ch Edw.d Warner of London Merch.t hath ag.t
             y.e s.d Carvels Estate as allso from the finall portion of the s.d
             Carvels Children ^do^ also save & indemnifie y.e s.d R.d Smithers
             from every part and parcell of y.e debts due & owing from y.e s.d Estate
             & from all cost charges & incumbrances that y.e s.d R.d may be put
             unto by means or reason of his intermar^i^age w.th the s.d Ma^r^ y.e
             widow Relict & Ex.rs of y.e af.d Jn.o Carvill in consideration of y.e
             premisses af.d & divers other valuable considerations ^us^ hereunto
             moveing have given granted alienated & confirmed unto her y.e
             s.d Ma^r^tha Paca her heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or asignes for ever all &
             ^singular^ the Right Title Interest Property Challenge Claim or demand
             whatsoever w.ch were y.e s.d R.d Smithers & Mary my wife now hath
             or att any time or times hereafter may might or could or should have of
             ^in or^ to any Lands Leases Joynters or dowrey of any lands w.ch have
             come unto Mary my wife or any ways belonging or appertaining
             to us or either of us by vertue of any Dowrey Joynture Gift
             Grant or Demise of him the said John Carvill unto her the af.d
             Mary or by any other ways means or procurem.t of him the
             said John Carvill or to she the af.d Mary as also all the Right
             Title Interest Property Claim and Demand whatsoever which we
             or either of us now or at any time hereafter might or could
             have by any means or ways whatsoever unto fifteen Negroes
             viz.t Jupiter, Nan, Moll, Abigall, Dido, Patience, Nan, Menare
             Fenix, James, Gilbert, Jack, Harrey, Dinah, Darkey, as also sixty
             head of cattle young and old, also forty head of hoggs young and
             old the said cattle & hoggs markt with a swallow fork and upper
             keele in the right and a crop and two slitts in the left ear, as
