(76)      to be the Rite of the within named Jn.o Dorsey his heirs and
             assignes for ever according to the true intent and meaning of
             the within deed and the act of assembly in that case made and
             provided

             That on the day to witt the 15.th day of Aprill Seventeen hundred
             and five came before me Sam.l Young Cheif Justice of the Rtt
             Honb.l the Lord Proprietarys Provincial Court of the Province of
             Maryland Sarah Jones Wife of the within named Josiah Jones
             whoe being by me secretly examined out of the hearing of her s.d
             Husband declared that of her own volintary will and without
             being indeused ^there^unto by fears or threts or ill useage of her Husband
             or fear of his displeasur she there acknowledged her right of dower
             to the lands and premisses within mentioned according to law

    Ex.d  This Indenture made the Fifth day of May in the year of
             our Lord God one thousand seven six hundred & twenty five Between
             Richard banks and Margret his wife of ^Calvert County^ of the one part and Charles Carroll
             of Ann Arundle County Gent of the other part Witnesseth That the s.d
             Richard Banks & Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the sum
             of Five shillings Current Money to the said Richard in hand paid They the
             said Richard Banks and Margaret his wife have demised granted sol
             and to farm sett as by these presents they the said Richard Banks and
             Margaret his wife do demise grant set and to farm sell unto the
             said Charles Carroll his executors Adm.rs and assigns for and during the
             term of Forty years from the date hereof all that part of a tract of
             land called Preston as also all the said thereto adjoyning used held
             occupied or enjoyed by Nathaniel Ashcom deced whereof as his the said
             Nathaniel Ashcomb widow the said Richard Banks & Margret his
             wife are now seised and possessed in Right & Dower or otherwise
             lying and being in Calvert County af.d And being partly the dwelling
             place of the said Richard Banks & Margret his wife To have and to
