             acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed And the
             Lands & Premisses therein mencond to be the right
             Title Intrest Property Claim & Demand of the within
             Mencond Vachel Denton his heirs and assigns for

             in the fourth year of the Reign of Our Sovereign
             Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great
             Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the
             Faith &c And in the year of our Lord ^God^ One Thousand
             seven hundred and Thirty One Between John Stewart
             of Pocomoke River in the County of Sommersett in
             Maryland Merchant of the One Part And
             Codrington ^Carrington^ of the Town of S.t Michaell in the Island
             of Barbados Merchant of the Other Part Witnesseth
             that the said John Stuart for and in Consideration
             of the sume of One hundred and sixty One Pounds
             fourteen shillings & four pence of Good & Lawfull
             Money of the said Island of Barbados to him in hand
             paid or secured to be paid by the said Codrington Carrington
             at and before the Ensealing and Delivery
             of these Presents (the receipt whereof the said
             John Stuart Doth hereby acknowledge & thereof
             and therefrom & of and from Every part & parcell
