(477) Burglariously did steal take
and Carry away against Our Peace Good Rule and Government whereof he was Convict Before Our Trusty and Welbeloved William Lock Esq.r and Others his Associates Our Justices our Justices of Oyer & Terminer and Goal delivery for Our County of Ann Arundell the Twenty first day of January Anno Domini One Thousand seven hundred and Thirty and Grant unto him Our firm Peace and will not that he suffer any Corporal Punishment therefore but that Nevertheless he shall stand and be in the same plight state and Condition to all intents and purposes as if the said Felony and Burglary Whereof he the said Benjamin Hall hath been Convict had Never been done or Committed any thing herein Contained to the Contrary Notwithstanding Witness our Dear Brother Benedict Leonard Calvert Governour and Commander in Chief In and Over Our Said Province of Maryland this Twenty Third day of February in the sixteenth year of our Dominion 6 sides &c Annoq Domini 1730 Jn.o Ross Cl Cound x.d This Indenture made the fourth day of March Anno Dom One thousand seven hundred & thirty by and between Charles Carroll of the City of Annap.o Chirurgeon of the one part and Benj.a Johnson Plant.r and Tho.s Johnson Blacksmith of Ann Arundell County of the other part Witnesseth that whereas Anthony Johnson of Balt County deced father of the said Benj.a and Thomas Johnson had granted unto him a Certain Tract of Land Called Johnson Interest lying and being in Baltemore County Cout three hundred & sixty Acres of Land as by the Certificate thereof bearing date the Eighth day of October Anno Dom 1695 One hundred & sixty acres there of was by the said Anthony Conveyed into a Certain John Gattrell the remaining two hundred Acres whereof became the Right & Estate of the said Benj.a & Thomas by the last will & Testam.t of the said Anthony as may appear Now This Indenture further Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Johnson & Tho.s Johnson for and in Consideration of the sum of forty pounds Current money of Maryland to them in hand ^well & truly^ paid and satisfied by the said Charles Carroll the Receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge & thereof do Acquitt him the said Charles his heirs Ex.rs (&) |
