(458) September the 8.th 1730 Then Came
before me the subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the Provinciall Court of Maryland the above Named William Worthington & acknowledged the above Instrument as his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein Mencond to be the right and Estate of the above Named Vachel Denton his heirs and assigns for Ever According to the true intent & meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly of this province in that Case Made and provided And at the same time Came Sarah the Wife of the said William Worthington who being secretly Examined out of the hearing of her Husband Declared that she relinquisht all her right of Dower to the Lands and Premisses above Mencond Willingly and Freely and without being induced thereto by fears or Threats of or Ill Ussage by her husband or fear of his Displeasure according to Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided Benj.a Tasker (Recorded the 7.th day of November 1730) x.d This Indenture made the Eighth day of September Anno Domini seventeen Hundred and Thirty Between Vachel Denton of the City of Annapolis in Arrundell County Gentleman of the one part And William Worthington of Ann Arundell County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said Vachel Denton for and in Consideration of the sume of one hundred and Thirty pounds Current Money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said William Worthington the receipt Whereof he the said Vachel Denton doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and from every part and parcell thereof doth hereby fully and absolutely acquit Exonerate & Discharge him the said William Worthington his heirs Executors and Administrators Hath given granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed & Confirmed and by these presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirm unto ^him^ the said William Worthington his heirs and assigns for ever all that Dividend or proportion of Land being Numbered or Called the first part of the second Discovery Lying and being in Ann Arundell County afd Beginning at the end of the first Lyne of a Tract of Land ^Called^ altogether taken up by Thomas Worthington and Henry Ridgley it being Likewise the Beginning of the said second Discovery and running the first Line of the second Discovery North by West five hundred and sixteen perches thence West by South one hundred and sixty perches thence South by (East) |
