(420) me the subscriber One of his Lordships
Justices of the Provinciall Court the within named John Hodson who acknowledged the within written Deed to be his Act and Deed And that the within written Deed to be his Act and Deed and that the within Granted Lands and premisses are the right and Estate of the within named Richard Snowden his heirs & assigns for ever according to the true Intent & Meaning of the within written indenture In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name the Day and year above Written Phillip Lee (Recorded this (25) day of June 1730) x.d This Indenture made the twenty ninth day of May Anno Domini One Thousand seven hundred & thirty Between Edward Mitchell of Kent County in the Province of Maryland Gent of the one part And Richard Snowden of Ann Arundell County in the Province aforesaid Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Edward Mitchell for and in Consideration of y.e sume of ninety four pounds fifteen shillings sterl money of Great Brittain to him in hand well & truly paid by the said Richard Snowden at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcell thereof doth acquitt Exonerate & Discharge the said Richard Snowden his heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Assigned Aliend enfeofed Transferrd and Confirmed And by these presents Doth give grant Bargain sell assigne aliene enfeoff Transferr & Confirm unto the said Richard Snowden his heirs & assigns for ever All those five peices parcells or Tracts of Land (herein after named) scituate Lying and being in Kent County af.d on a Creek called Swann Creek running out of Sasafrax River on the south side of the said River & on the North side of the aforesaid Creek one of which said Tracts of Land is Called or known by the Name of Cockstole & Contains by Estimation seventy acres be the same more or less one other Tract of Land Called Pryors Neglect Containing by Estimation ^forty acres of land the same more or less One other tract of land called Mitchells Chance containing by estimation^ seventy acres of Land more or Less One Other Tract of Land Called Mitchels Chance Containing (by) |
