(402)    Province hereby Granting to the said Mathew Tilgman
             Ward full Power & Authority to sell and Dispose of all
             Lands Tenements and Hereditaments to us now Escheated or
             forfeited or hereafter to be Escheated or forfeited to such
             person or persons as shall agree or pay for them such
             Reasonable Rates in Money as shall be agreed for Also to
             inspect into order Mannage and Account for all & every
             other Branch & Branches of Our Revenue within our
             said Province whether the same be or grow due by particular
             Contract Conditions of Plantation Act or Acts of Assembly
             or by Virtue of Our Royalties Rights Privilidges & Prerogatives
             within the said Province And for the Better and more
             Effectual Execution of the said Powers and Authorities
             hereby Granted Wee do further authorize him the said
             Mathew Tilgman Ward to give such Directions and Orders to
             the Navall Officers of Our said province (who by an Instruction
             formerly sent Cap.t Hart Our Lieutenant Governour
             were to be our shipping officers for the Receiving and
             Collecting our Duties ariseing by Exportation of Tobacco
             as also the Duty of Tonnage of Shipps) as he the said Mathew
             Tilgman Ward shall think fitt And the said shipping officers
             are hereby required to obey him accordingly Hereby
             Ordering and Requireing him the said Mathew Tilgman
             Ward to remit unto us for our proper use by the first
             and safest oppertunities all such Moneys Effects or
             Bills of Exchange as shall arise grow due and be Received
             by or from our said shipping officers or any other ^persons^ on all
             or any of the aforesaid Branches of our Revenue And
             upon Receipt of any Money Bills of Exchange or other Effects
             sufficient Discharges and Acquitances to give and signe
             to the person or persons concerned or owing such Moneys
             Effect and Bills of Exchange And Generally to Act do and
             perform fulfill and accomplish all and every other Act
             and Act thing or ^and^ things Requisite and Necessary for the
             Due Execution performance and justly Discharging
             the severall Respective Officers powers and authorities
             hereby Given and Granted him or Intended to be Given and
             Granted him And Wee doe hereby Rattifye Confirm and
             hold for Good Effectuall and Valid whatsoever the said
             Mathew Tilgman Ward shall Lawfully Do or Cause to be
             Done in the premisses notwithstanding any insufficiency
             or Defect in the Words Expressions Clauses or Sentances
             of this Our Commission And altho every particular
             Matter strictly Requisite be not therein strictly Requisite
