     x.d   Maryland fs   Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary
             of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of
             Baltemore & To all our Bailiffs and Good People to whome
             these presents shall come Know ye that of our speciall
             Grace We have pardoned unto Charles Clarke late of y.e City
             of Annapolis in Arrundell County Labourour as a proper
             object of our Mercy the suit of our peace and whatsoever
             appartaineth unto us for that he the said Charles Clarke
             heretofore viz.t on the Eighteenth day of December Anno
             Domini One Thousand seven hundred ^and^ Twenty nine with
             Force and Arms the Dwelling House of a Certain Joseph
             Joseph Poage of the City and County aforesaid Butcher
             at Ann Arundell County afd in the Night time to wit
             Between the Hours of ten and Eleven in the Night of the
             same Day he the       said Joseph Poage than in the said
             House in the peace of God and of us being feloniously
             and Burglariously did break and enter and two half spannish
             pistoles & seven cutt peices of Gold of the Value of Thirty
             five shillings & two pence Curr.t money & three shillings
             & seven pence Curr.t Money the Goods and Chattles of the
             said Joseph Poage in the said House being found then
             and there feloniously & Burglariously did steel take and
             carry away against out peace Good Rule and Government
             Whereof he was Convict before our Trusty & wel beloved W.m
             Lock and John Smith Esq.r our Justices of Oyer and Terminer
             and Goal Delivery for our said County of Ann Arundell And
             Grant unto him our firm peace and will not that he
             suffer any Corporall Punishment therefore but that
             Nevertheless he shall stand and be in the same plight
