Named Mathew Kirby and Elizabeth his Wife their Heirs and Assigns for Ever according to the true Intent and Meaning of the Within Deed William Lock (Recorded the 25.th) (Day of May 1730) x.d Maryland fs Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c To all our Bailiffs and Good people to whome These presents shall Come Know ye that of our speciall Grace We have pardoned unto Benona Williams late of Shrewsbury Parish in Kent County Labour our the servant of William Boyer of the same parish & County planter as a proper object of our Mercy the suit of one peace and whatsoever appertaineth unto us for that he the said Benona Williams heretofore God before his Eyes not having but being Moved and seduced by the Justigation of the Devill the sixteenth day of Aprill in the year of Our Lord God one Thousand seven Hundred and Thirty at the parish aforesaid in the county af.d with force & Arms &c The store House of Tho.s Colvill at the parish af.d in the county aforesaid then being feloniously did Break & Enter & Twenty and four Ells of Dowlas of the value of three pounds eleven Knotts of Bobbin each Knott being of the value of ^six pence two felt hatts each hat being of the value of^ Two shillings & six pence one yarn cap of the value of one shilling & three pair of Cozsars each pair being of the value of six pence of the Goods & Chattles of the said Thomas Colvill in the same storehouse then and there being found then & there feloniously did steal take and bear away Contrary to our peace Good Rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such case lately made and provided whereof he was convict before our Trusty and Well beloved Mathew Tilghman Ward Esq.r one of our Justices of Oyer & Terminer and Goal Delivery for our said County of Kent And Grant unto him our firm peace and will not that he suffer any Corporall punishment therefore but that Nevertheless he shall stand and be in the same plight state & Condition to all intents and purposes as if the said Felony whereof he the said Benona Williams hath been Convict had never been done or Committed Witness (our) |
