1730 Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provinciall Court the within Mencond Charles Carroll Esq.r John Digges and Doctor Charles Carroll and Acknowledged the within Deed according To Act of Assembly in such Case made & provided Benj.a Tasker Recorded the 11.th day of Aprill 1730 x.d Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietor of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &r To the Honourable Baltemore Cæcelius Calvert and Thomas Beack Esq.r Greeting Whereas by our Commission bearing date the thirtieth day of May one thousand seven hundred and fifteen during our Minority Use and Burthen Guardian Francis Lord Guildford did Constitute and appoint the said Tho.s Beack and Charles Lowe Esq.rs joyntly to Execute the office of secretary of the said Province of Maryland And Whereas the said Charles Lowe is since Deceased Know ye that we do hereby make void and annull the said former Commission and for Divers good Causes and Considerations us hereunto especially moving and alsoe by virtue of the Powers given in the Letters Pattents from King Charles the first to Cæcilius Lord Baron of Baron of Baltemore his heirs and assignes of the said Province of Maryland &r Have Constituted and Appointed and by these presents ^we^ do Constitute and Appoint you the said Cæcilius Calvert our Loving Brother and you the said Thomas Beack Esq.r Joyntly to Execute the office of Secretary of the said Province of Maryland hereby authorizeing you and Giving you full power with my own approbation to Nominate and Appoint a Sufficient Deputy to be present at all Meetings of the Governour and Council & of the assembly in (that) |
