(354) may have hold and enjoy all the af.d Lands
& Negroes herein mentioned and receive and take the Rents Issues and Profitts arizeing there from to his and their own proper use and behoofe untill Default shall be made in payment of y.e said one hundred ninety one pounds ten shillings & three pence sterling contrary to the true intent and meaning hereof without rendering any account of or for the same Rents and proffits or any part or parcell thereof to the sad Mary Woodward and Elizabeth Guin their heirs or assignes In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and fix.d my seale the day and year above Written Signed sealed and Tho Larkin seale Delivered in the presents of Rich.d Tootell John Tootell On the Back of the aforegoing Indenture was thus Endorsed Viz.t Memorandum that on the day & year within Written Came the within named Thomas Larkin & acknowledged the within Lands and Negroes to be the right of the within named mary Woodward & Elizabeth Guin their heirs & assignes according to the true Intent & Meaning of the within Deed Also Elizabeth the wife of the said Thomas Larkin & acknowledged her right of Dower to the same and being privatly examined out of the hearing of her said husband Declared that she did the same Willingly ^& freely^ without being induced thereto by fears ^& threats^ or ill usage by her said husband or fear of his Displeasure to the use of the said Mary Woodward & Elizabeth Ginn their heirs & assignes according to the true intent & meaning of the within Deed this acknowledgment taken before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provinciall Courts Benj.a Tasker (I) |
