(316) x.d This Indenture made the seventh day of
Aprill in the year of our Lord God One Thousand seven hundred & twenty nine Between Rich.d Hill of Ann Arundell County Doc.tr of Phisick of the one part and Hugh Mathews of Cecill County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Hill for and in Consideration of the sume of one Hundred and Eighty pounds Current Money of Maryland to him secured to be paid the recp.t whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom Doth Acquitt Exonerate and Discharged the said Hugh Mathews his heirs and assignes for Ever Hath Given Granted Aliened Bargained Enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these presents Doth Give Grant Aliene Bargain Sell Enfeoffe and Confirm unto him the said Hugh Mathews his heirs and assigns for Ever all that Tract of Land Called Mannering Hall Lying and being in Cecill County at the Head of Bohemia River formerly patented to my Grandfather Richard Hill for Four Hundred Acres of Land let the same Contain more or less Together with all Rights profitts Benefitts Heriditaments & Appurtenances & priviledges thereunto belonging or that of Right should thereto belong To have and to hold the aforesaid Tract of Land Called Mannering Hall and premisses with Every thing thereto belonging & appertaining unto the said Hugh Mathews his heirs and assignes for Ever And the said Richard Hill doth for himselfe his heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant and Agree to & with the Said Hugh Mathews his heirs Executors Administrators or Assignes that he the said Hugh Mathews his heirs and assignes shall and may for Ever hereafter Quietly and peaceably have hold Occupy possess and Enjoy all the aforesaid Tracts of Land Called Mannering Hall with all and singular the premisses and appurtenances thereto belonging free & Clear of and from all former Sales Gifts Grants or Title of Dower against him the said Richard Hill his heirs and assigns and also against the heirs or assignes of Rich.d Hill of Philadelphia him the said Richard or any Claiming by from or under him and the said Richard Hill for himselfe his heirs Executors and Administrators Doth further Covenant and agree to & with the said Hugh Mathews that he the said Richard Hill shall & will Warrant and for Ever Defend the said Tract of Land Called Mannering Hall unto him y.e said Hugh Mathews his heirs and assignes for Ever against him the said Richard Hill or any Claiming under him as also against Richard Hill of Philidelphia or any Claiming under him and the said Richard Hill Doth for himselfe his and his heirs further Covenant and Agree to and with the said Hugh Mathews his heirs Executors Administrators and assignes that he the said Richard shall and will at any time hereafter at the Reasonable request of the said Hugh Mathews his heirs or Assignes & at their Charge Execute any Other Conveyance that shall be advised for the more sure makeing the hereby (Granted) |
