(299)    On the back of the aforegoing Indenture is Indorsed as follows viz.t

             We the within mentioned Thomas Lingan and Charles Carroll
             Do hereby acknowledge to have rec.d of James Carroll within
             mentioned Four hundred and Forty pounds ten shillings & one
             Penny that is to say One hundred sixty and five pounds
             Nine shillings & Ten pence half penny by Charles Carroll in
             Redemption and Discharge of a Mortgage made to him
             heretofore by Thomas Lingan of Batchelors Quarter within
             Mentioned the Residue of the said sume of Four hundred
             & Forty pounds ten shillings & one penny rec.d by Tho
             Lingan We say Reic.d by us the Day & year within Mentioned
