(283)    On the back of the aforegoing Instrument is thus Indorsed
             as follows viz.t

             Maryland fs   The deposition of Hermanus
             Schee aged fifty five or thereabouts Saith that y.e within
             Certificate is a just and true Copy of a Certificate of the
             Resurvey made upon the Lands therein mentioned when
             he was surveyor of Kent County which Certificate was given
             by this Deponent to a Certain William Blay of the
             said County who promisd to deliver the same faithfully
             into the Land Office and this Deponent saith he never
             Received nor paid any return of the same from the Land
             Office & further saith that he never signd any other
             Certificate nor made any alteration in the said
             Certificate Delivd to William Blay but that it Exactly
             agreed with the Within Copey of the Certificate & further
             this Deponant saith that when the said William Blay
             returnd from Annapolis this Deponent asked the said Blay
             if he got his pattent for the within Mentioned Land & if
             the said Certificate was accepted of to which the said Blay
             answered that he was forced to get the Certificate alter.d
             by M.r Lerkens for which he gave one Guinnea or one
             Pistoloe this Deponant Cannot be positive which but
             that it was one of the two and further their Deponant
             saith not Kent County December 15.th 1727
