(273)    Memorandum that on the Twenty Eighth day of May
             Anno Domini 1728 Came the within Named Stephen Gill
             and Elizabeth his Wife and acknowledged the within Deed
             and the Land and premisses according to the Directions
             of the Act of Assembly in such Cases provided to y.e within
             Mentioned Charles Carroll and the said Elizabeth Gill
             Wife to the aforesaid Stephen Gill being privatly
             Examind out of the hearing of her said Husband
             acknowledges that she willingly and freely without
             fear or Threats or Ill usage or fear of Displeasure of
             her said Husband Consented to the within Conveyance
             and Acknowledgment of the same before us

                                     This Indenture made the
       x.d seven hundred and Twenty Eight by and between Francis
             Gaitrell of Anna Arundell County Planter son and heir
             of John Gaitrell of the County aforesaid deceased on the
             one part and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis in
             the County aforesaid Chyrurgeon on the other part
             Witnesseth that the said Francis Gaitrell for and in
             Consideration of the sume of Thirty pounds Current mony
             of Maryland to him in hand paid and sattisfied
             at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents
             by the said Charles Carroll the Recip.t whereof
             he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth acquit
             Discharge and release him the said Charles his heirs
             Executors Administrators and Assigns and for Divers other
             Good Causes him thereunto moving hath given
             Granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed released
