(264) Came into Court M.r Frances Lowe and
Deposeth upon the Holy Evangelist that about Twenty two years past she This Deponent was a near Neighbour to a Certain Charles Fitzgefferies and Anne his Wife now Called Ann Mellony who then Lived in S.t Georges hundred in S.t Mary.s County In the Province of Maryland which said Charles and Anne were for some years before and After Granted to be Lawfull Man and Wife and that She this Deponent neare the time aforesaid and Delivered the said Anne of a male Child soon after Baptized and Called Joseph which said Joseph is now in full Life and this Deponent Really Believes him the said Joseph to be the same Child of which the said Anne ^as^ aforesaid Delivered And the said Deponent further saith not Et In Hupies Ref Veritatis Testimonium sigillum Comit Supreudiet Huie Affixum Est p M Jemfer Cl Comit Ejusdem Conway Seale Recorded y.e 1.st June 1728 Maryland fs In the Records of S.t Mary.s County amongst other things are Contained the Following viz.t S.t Mary.s County fs The Deposition of Thomas Hebb aged seventy four years or there about being sworne on the Holy Evangelist saith that about six and Thirty years agoe one Charles Fitzgeferis and Ann his Wife lived in this parts as this Deponent always understood the said Ann to be his the said Charles's Wife they always haveing ^been^ so Reckoned In the Neighbourhood and always past as such, and that This Deponent sometime since went with the Widow and Rec.d a parcell of Goods which was sent to the said Fitzgeferis by his Father, as this Deponent understood by the Master who Brought in the Goods and further Saith not being sworn this 19.th Day of July Anno 1725 Thomas Waughop George Clarke |
