195 x.d This Indenture the twenty first day of April in the
eight & thirtieth year of the Dominion of Cæcilius Absolute Lord & Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &r Annoq Domini 1670 Between John Nutthall of the Cross Manno.r in the County of S.t Maries in the province of Maryland Gent sonn & Heir to John Nutthall Late of y.e Cross aforesaid Deceased on the one part & Walter Hall of the same County & Province aforesaid Gent of the other part Wittnesseth that the said John Nutthall for & in Consideration of two and fifty thousand pounds of good Tobacco in Cask to him in hand paid at & before the Sealing & Delivery of these p.rsents by the s.d Walter Hall the Receipt whereof the said John Nutthall doth hereby acknowledge & himself therew.th & of every part & ^parcell^ thereof fully satisfied contented and paid & thereof & of every part & pcell thereof doth hereby Absolutely & Clearly Exonerate Acquitt & Discharge the said Walter Hall his heirs Executors Administ.rs and Assignes for ever hath for & from himself his heirs Executo.rs Administ.rs and Assignes Given Granted Bargained Aliened Sold Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these p.rsents doth fully Clearly & Absolutely Give Grant Bargaine Alien Sell Enfeoffe and Confirm all that his Manner called or commonly known by the name of the Manner of Cornwallis Cross Situated lying & being in the County & Province aforesaid Bounding on the West w.th S.t Inegoes ^Mannor^ on the south with the branch of Trinity Creek there caled the back Creek & the other the Governours Creek on the East w.th the Pathway leading from S.t Inegoes to the Governo.rs Creek & on the North w.th S.t Inegoes Creek containing & laid out for two thousand acres of Land more or less And also all that other his Manno.r Called or Commonly known by the name of Elizabeth Manno.r adjoyning to the Cross Manno.r abovesaid on the East side thereof bounding on the South w.th a Parrelell Line Extended Eastward from y.e Pathway at the head of the Governo.rs Creek for the length of on Mile into the woods on the East w.th the Merridian line Drawne from the end of the aforesaid Mile untill it Intersects a parrelell Drawne from the Pathway over the head of S.t Inegoes Creek & on the North w.th the said Parrelell Containing two thousand acres be it more or less With all the Rights Members Previledges & Appurtenances and also all and singular the Messuages Houses Edifices & all buildings w.tsoever Orchards Gardens Lands Tenements Pastures feedings woods Underwoods Woods grounds w.th the soile & ground of the same Timber & trees Waters & Water Courses Ponds Pooles Liberties fishing Courts Leets views of Frank pledgs Perquisits & Profits of Courts & Leets wayses strayes Rents Services Rents suck & all other Rents & Services w.tsoever Reserved upon any Demise or Lease hertofore made |
