193    On the back of the foregoing Deed was Endorst as follows viz.t
          Memorandum that full and peaceable possession & seizin was given
          & Delivered by y.e w.thin named John Nutthall of Tract of Land w.thin
          mentioned unto James Nuthall ^his heirs and assignes^ according to the true intent and
          meaning of the Indenture in presence of us whose names are
          hereunto subscribed &.r the 15.th day of April 1670

x.d     This Indenture made the fourth day of April in the 3.d
               year of y.e Dominion of Cæcilius Absolute Lord & Proprietary
          of the Province of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore
          &c Annoq Dom one thousand six hundred & seventy Between
          John Nuthall of the County of S.t Maries in the Province of
          Maryland Gent of y.e one part & James Nutthall of y.e same County
          & Province afs.d Planter of the other part Wttnesseth that
          the s.d John Nuthall for & in Consideration of twelve thousand
          pounds of good tobacco and Cask to him in hand paid by the said
          James Nutthall y.e Receipt whereof the said John Nutthall Doth
          hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part & pcell thereof
          Doth ^hereby^ Absolutely & Clearly Exonorate Acquitt & Discharge
          y.e s.d James Nutthall his heirs Executors Administrat.rs & Assigns
          for ever By these presents hath Given Granted Bargained
          Aliened Sold Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these presents Doth
          fully Clearly & Absolutely Give Grant Bargaine & Sell Alien
          Enfeoffe & Confirm unto him the said James Nuthall his heirs
          & assignes for ever all y.t percell or tract of Land w.ch he y.e said
          James Nutthall now liveth on being part of a Devident of Land
          Commonly Knowne or Called by the name of Cornwallis Cross
          Mannor Situated lying & being in S.t Maries County afs.d the w.ch
          bounds of the said tract or percell of Land Begineth at y.e Quarter
          Creek & so runeth along by the side of the old field y.t y.e Cross
          Mannor house standeth onto the pathway y.t goeth to the long
          Neck & from thence along the said path till it comes to John
