James Donaldson of the City of Annapolis in the province of Maryland Merch.t Comes and prays that the following Charter party may be Recorded the Tennor whereof follows in these words Viz.t This Charter party of Afreightment Indented made and concluded this twenty third day of April Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and twenty six Between William Whittington of Calvert County In the province of Maryland house Carpenter owner of the Reformation Brigatine Burthen Sixty Tunns or thereabouts of the one part and James Donaldson of the City of Annapolis in the province aforesaid Merch.t of the other part Wittnesseth that the aforesaid William Whittington for the Consideration herein after mentioned hath Granted and to freight Letten and by these presents doth grant and to freight Lett unto the aforesaid James Donaldson his Exec.rs Adm.rs or assignes thirteen parts of sixteen of the Tonage of the hold stern sheets and half Deck of the aforesaid Vessell or Brigatine Called the Reformation from the port of Annapolis in a voyage to be made by the said Vessell in manner and form following that is to say to take on board with all Convenient speed and without delay or loss of time in the River of Bohemia in the Province aforesaid (where the said Vessell now Lyes) or any where else in the said province where he the said Donaldson shall direct such Cargo of wheat and other Goods and Merchandize as the said freighter his factors or assignes shall think fitt for Compleating the said thirteen parts of sixteen of the Loading of the said Vessell & then with the first fair wind and weather that shall happen after such Loading put on board as af.d to said Directly down Chesepeak Bay and haveing Cleard at Annapolis or some other Convenient port to proceed directly for the Island of Maderas or any other port where the said freighter his factor or assignes shall order her and there deliver such Cargo of wheat and other Merchandize belonging to the said freighter in good order and well Conditioned (the Danger of the seas Excepted) and to take on Board such Cargo of wines or other Merchandizes as the said freighter his Correspondent or Agent shall direct and then with the first fair wind and weather after such other Cargoe taken on board to Sail directly without delay or loss of time for the Island of Barbados or any other place In the west Indies or Else where as the said freighter his Supercargoe or factor shall direct and (there) |
