Mary Vanswearingen or M.r William Deacon Collecter both of S.t Marys County in Maryland or either ^of them whatsoever sume or sums of Money shall^ be found due to me by Vertue of a pler power of a Leter of Attorney granted to y.e s.d Mary Vanswearingen by me y.e s.d Thom.s Denton about two years ago sent by Captain Edward Smith and Attested by him w.th y.e s.d Leter of Attry y.e said Mary requested of me The s.d Tho.s Denton by her Letter directed to M.r James Addiston of Penroth in order as she said that she Keep in her hands what sum or sums of money her formor Husband M.r Jeremiah Adderton he being my Former Attry had Received for my use and upon recept of all or part thereof to give receipt or receipts for y.e same I hereby Ratifieing & Conforming whatsoever Either of My Attrys shall act or doe for the recovery of the said p.rmisses in full a maner as if I were personally present Witnesse my hand and seale This nineteenth day of Jannary Annoq Dom 1724/5 Signed Sealled & Delivered in y.e p.rsence of us Tho.s Denton seale Thom.s Benson Richard Morrison Charles County fs Then came before us Thomas Stone and Joseph Harrison Two of his Lordship Justices of y.e peace for y.e said County Thomas Benson & R.d Morrison Wittness to y.e w.thin power of Attry and made Oath upon y.e Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they saw y.e w.thin Thomas Dention signe seale and Deliver y.e w.thin Power of Attry as his act and deed for y.e use w.thin Mencioned Given or under our hand and seale this 4.th day of May 1726 Th.s Stone seal & Th.o Harrison seal |
