(11) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was Endorst Sealed and Delivered in May 19.th 1724 psence of us Robert Peele Reced of Samuel Peele the w.thin mentioned Sum of twenty Will.m Pearce five pounds in full for the within mentioned Consideration Wittness Rob.t Peele Jn.o Burgess Will.m Pearce The within mentioned John Burgess Acknowledges the w.thin Instrument as his Act & Deed to the uses therein mentioned According to the Law Also the within mentioned Jane the wife of the said John is privately Examined but of the hearing of her said Husband And Acknowledges the same Instrument as by Act & Deed And that she makes the same Acknowledgment willingly & freely And without being Induced thereto by fears or threats of or Ill usage by her husband or fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged as af.d According to Act of Assembly this Nineteenth Day of Mary Anno Dom Seventeen hundred & twenty four Before Me the subscriber of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland William Lock Recorded June 9.th 1724 Ex.d This Indenture made the fifteenth day of April one thousand seven hundred and twenty four Between Alexander Adair and Christian his wife Daughter and sole heir of Thomas sterling late of Calvert County in the Province aforesaid of the one part And Samuel Chew of Annarundell County of the one part, Wittnesseth That the said Alexand.r Adair and Christian his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds Currant Money of this Province To them in hand paid by the said Samuell Chew the Recept whereof they do hereby acknowledge and of all and every part thereof Do acquit and dicharge the said Samuell Chew Hath Given granted Bargained sold alienated enfeoffed and |
