(105) there to by Fears or thre^a^ts of or ill useage
by her husband or fear of his displeasure according to Act of Assembly in that case made before me one of his Lordships Justices of y.e provincial Court y.e day and year first above written James Stoddert Recorded September 1725 This Indenture made the second day of February in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred Twenty Four Between Benjamin Williams of Ann Arundell County planter & Margaret his wife of y.e one part and Joseph Williams of the af.d county planter of the other part Wittnesseth that they the said Benjamin Williams & Margaret his wife doe for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money of Maryland to them in hand paid alsoe for the naturall love & affection they bear unto the s.d Joseph Williams their son and that he hath hitherto in all respects demeaned himselfe obediently dutifull and alsoe for divers ^other^ good causes & valuable consideration them thereunto especially moveing have given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed & made over as by these presents they the s.d Benjamine Williams & Margaret his wife doe for themselves & their heirs give grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe confirm & make over unto him the said Joseph Williams his heirs & assignes for ever all those tracts or parcells of Land herein after expressed that is to say all y.t tract or parcell of Land called Williams Contrivance laid out for the said Benjamin Williams on or about the twenty third day of February sixteen hundred & ninety nine alsoe one other tract of Land called y.e Addition containing one hundred & sixty six acres originally |
