House Bill No. 5—By the Speaker:

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2 of Chapter
38 of the Acts of 1966; as last amended by Chapter 766 of the Acts of 1969,
removing the maximum interest rate ceiling on the Cecil County Union
Hospitals bonds.

Read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

House Bill No. 6—By the Speaker:

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Subsection (C) of
Section 59-50 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, as amended) and Subsection (C) of
Section 70-56 of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition, as amended),
being Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County,"
subtitle "Park and Planning Commission," to increase the interest rate
which may be paid by the Commission on serial bonds.

Reas the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, subsection (c) of
Section 59-56, and subsections (b) (d) and (h) of Section 59-50, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition and
1967 Supplement, as amended) and subsection (c) of Section 70-62 and
subsections (b) (d) and (h) of Section 70-56 of the Montgomery County
Code (1965 Edition, as amended), as amended by ch. 637 of the Acts of
1968, being Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery
County," subtitle "Park and Planning Commission," to increase the bond
limit and the mandatory bond guarantee park tax of the Commission in
Prince George's County.

Read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

House Bill No. 8—By Delegate Sarbanes:

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 286(a),
(b), (f) and (g) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1965
Replacement Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "Income Tax,"
amending the State Income Tax Laws in order generally to increase cer-
tain personal exemptions therein, and relating generally to the personal
exemptions in the State Income Tax Laws.

Read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

House Bill No. 9—By the Speaker:

An Act relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, re-
pealing and re-enacting, with amendments, Section 83-66A of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition), being also
Section 71-12A of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), being
Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, titled "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County,"
both subtitled "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," as said sections
were last repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, by Chapter 651 of
