House Bill No. 770—Dump Trucks

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 81(f)(2) of Article 661/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles" subtitle "Administration—Registration—Titling" to remove the provisions from the Article on "Motor Vehicles" that a vehicle registered for "dump service" plates be subject to all restrictions of said Article if such vehicle is being operated for the hauling of loose materials in bulk beyond a radius of forty (40) miles or for the hauling of materials other than loose materials in bulk, RELATING TO THE SPEED OF SUCH VEHICLES.

The President put the question, Shall the bill pass notwithstanding the objections of the Executive?

The President announced the veto was sustained by roll call as follows:

House Bill No. 772—Weight of Trucks

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 315(a) of Article 661/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways," to provide for a weight allowance of 10% over the maximum individual axle load of a vehicle as long as the combined load on all axles with such allowance on any individual axle does not thereby exceed the gross weight limit of such vehicle.
