CHAPTER 381
(House Bill 954)

AN ACT to add new Section 461 (d) to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County,"
subtitle "Pawnbrokers," to follow immediately after Section 461

(c)  thereof, to provide the penalties for the failure to secure a
pawnbroker's license in Harford County or for failing to comply
with the regulations regarding pawnbrokers.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 461 (d) be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford
County," subtitle "Pawnbrokers," to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 461 (c) thereof, and to read as follows:

461.

(d)    Any person violating any of the provisions of this section
shall be subject to a fine of from ten dollars ($10.00) to fifty dollars
($50.00) for the first offense, and for the second or subsequent of-
fense, a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) to one hundred dollars ($100.00),
to be collected as other fines and penalties are collected.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

(House Bill 955)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 461 (a)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edi-
tion, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Harford County," subtitle "Pawnbrokers," to allow
the Sheriff of Harford County to establish certain standards re-
garding forms used by pawnbrokers when goods are sold or taken
in pawn by them.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 461 (a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Pawnbrokers,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

461.

(a) Each and every pawnbroker, doing business in Harford
County shall cause to be written in a legible and accurate manner
