of June of the following year. The license shall be issued by the
Office of Permits and Licenses of Harford County which shall collect
the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each license issued.
The entire license fee shall be charged for each license issued on and
after July 1,1969.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 380
(House Bill 953)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section SEC-
TIONS 14A(a) AND (C) of Article 66B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume), title "Zoning and Plan-
ning," subtitle "Planning," subheading 'Title 1—Municipal Plan-
ning and Zoning Commission," to require the Planning and Zoning
Commission of Harford County to appoint the Director of Planning
and Zoning AND TO REVISE THE EDUCATIONAL REQUIRE-
MENTS AND TRAINING FOR SAID DIRECTOR.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section SECTIONS 14A(a) AND (C) of Article 66B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume), title
"Zoning and Planning," subtitle "Planning," subheading "Title 1—
Municipal Planning and Zoning Commission," be and it is THEY
ARE hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

14A.

(a) The planning and zoning commission for Harford County
with the approval of the County Commission, [may] shall appoint
a director of planning and zoning who shall have the executive
responsibility for planning and zoning for Harford County.

(C) THE PLANNING AND ZONING DIRECTOR SHALL
HAVE A DEGREE FROM A RECOGNIZED COLLEGE OR
UNIVERSITY WITH FORMAL TRAINING IN PLANNING
AND/OR ZONING OR RELATED SUBJECTS AND SHALL
HAVE AT LEAST THREE (3) YEARS EXPERIENCE IN
AN EXECUTIVE POSITION WITH A PLANNING AND ZON-
ING COMMISSION OF A COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
