on forms supplied by the Sheriff of Harford County, a list of articles
taken on pledge and to forward the same daily to the Sheriff of
Harford County. The above reports made to the Sheriff shall be
open to the inspection of such persons as, in the discretion of the
said Sheriff, may be regarded as having an interest in the same.
In addition, pursuant to standards and forms established by the
Sheriff, all pawnbrokers shall use a uniform bill of sale, ticket or
receipt for all items sold or taken on pledge by them.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 383
(House Bill 957)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 314(b) of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Fish and Fish-
eries," heading "Part 2. Tidal Waters," subheading "Black Bass
and Pike," prohibiting the catching of pike fish in a certain man-
ner and relating generally to the catching, shipment and sale of
pike fish.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 314(b) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1967 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Resources," sub-
title "Fish and Fisheries," heading "Part 2. Tidal Waters," subhead-
ing "Black Bass and Pike," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

314.

(b) It shall be unlawful to catch black bass or pike in any man-
ner in the tidal waters of the State of Maryland except that black
bass OR PIKE may be caught with rod, hook and line using natural
or artificial baits at any time during the year, subject to the creel
limit LIMITS imposed by Section 316 of this article. AND THE
CLOSED SEASON ON PIKE IMPOSED BY SECTION 314 OF
THIS ARTICLE. Whenever any black bass or pike are caught in
nets, seines or other devices legally engaged in other fishing those fish-
ing such nets shall immediately return such fish to the waters unin-
jured, except it shall be lawful for anyone fishing said nets to retain
not to exceed one day's legal creel limit of five (5) black bass OR TEN
(10) PIKE for his own private use during said open season. It shall also
be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell or offer to sell,
purchase or offer to purchase at any time or to have in possession any
black bass or pike whether said fish be caught in tidal or nontidal
waters within the State of Maryland, or the waters of any other
state and brought into this State; provided, however, that anglers
catching said fish by rod, hook and line as hereinbefore provided, and
not in excess of the creel limit LIMITS imposed by Section 316 of
