(House Bill 738)

AN ACT to transfer and recodify Sections 40 to 44, inclusive, of
Article 88A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "State Department of Social Services," sub-
title "Volunteer Firemen," to Article 38A of the said Code, title
"Fires and Investigations," and to recodify said sections, in their
same sequence, as Sections 42 to 46, inclusive, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 41 thereof, to be under the new subtitle
"Volunteer Firemen," relocating certain laws relating to volunteer
firemen by removing them from the Article of the Code pertaining
to the State Department of Social Services, and including them in
the Article of the Code pertaining to Fires and Investigations.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 40 to 44, inclusive, of Article 88A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "State De-
partment of Social Services," subtitle "Volunteer Firemen," shall be
transferred to Article 38A of the said Code, title "Fires and In-
vestigations," and recodified, in their present sequence, as Sections
40 to 44, inclusive, to follow immediately after Section 41 thereof,
to be under the subtitle "Volunteer Fireman."

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to REPEAL AN RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS,
AND transfer and recodify Section 61 of Article 88A of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"State Department of Social Services," subtitle "Prohibited Acts,"
to Article 27 of the said Code, title "Crimes and Punishments,"
and to recodify said section as Section 704A to follow immediately
after Section 704 thereof, subtitle "Places of Reformation and
Punishment," subheading "Miscellaneous," relocating AND COR-
RECTING AN ERROR IN a law relating to sale of produce by
penal institutions and providing criminal penalties for violation
thereof.
