raccoon and opossum. The words "nighttime" shall be construed to
mean [the time beginning with sunset until sunrise the following
day;] the time beginning with one-half hour after sunset until one-
half hour before sunrise the following day,
[the time stated] as set
forth
by the calendar of hour of sunrise and sunset as published in
the Department's Hunters Guide.
[It shall be unlawful to hunt any
game, except raccoon and opossum, mentioned herein by use of auto-
mobile lights, spotlights, or a light of any description.] It shall be
unlawful to hunt, kill, catch, or pursue, or to attempt to hunt, kill,
catch or pursue, at nighttime, any wild quadruped or wild bird from
or upon any vehicle by the use or with the aid of any light or lights,
including the headlights of said vehicle. Provided, however, that
raccoons and opossums may be hunted at nighttime, on foot, by
use of a light or lights during the lawful open season for the taking
of same.

(f) The Commission shall set forth by regulation by what means
or weapons designated wild fowl or wild game may be taken in the
exercise of the privileges granted by said license and shall by such
regulation designate and specifically set forth any restrictions on
the use of weapons in the hunting or taking of such wild fowl and
game including but not limited to the amount and size of ammunition
in taking designated game. The Commission shall cause such regu-
lations to be distributed with each hunting license purchased. Noth-
ing in this subsection shall authorize the Commission in any way to
restrict the use of firearms except in the exercise of the privilege
bestowed by the purchase of a hunting license.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 341
(House Bill 737)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 4A(a)
of Article 88A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume and 1968 Supplement), title "State Department of
Social Services," subtitle "In General," to add a new member to the
Advisory Council on Child Welfare representing the State Office
of Economic Opportunity appointed by the Executive Director.
AND EXPANDING THE MEMBERSHIP AND RESPONSI-
BILITY OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON CHILD WELFARE
TO CONFORM TO CHANGE IN FEDERAL LAW REQUIRING
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ADVISORY GROUPS IN RELA-
TION TO AID TO FAMILIES WITH DEPENDENT CHILDREN
AND CHILD WELFARE SERVICES.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 4A(a) of Article 88A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume and 1968 Supplement), title "State
Department of Social Services," subtitle "In General," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
