CHAPTER 291
(House Bill 335)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 4(c) of
Article 95C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume and 1968 Supplement), title "Uniform Disposition
of Unclaimed Property," amending the Uniform Disposition of
Unclaimed Property Act in order to make a correction in the
language thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 4(c) of Article 95C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume and 1968 Supplement), title "Uniform
Disposition of Unclaimed Property," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

95C.

4(c). Any sum which a utility has been ordered to refund and
which was received for utility services rendered in this State, to-
gether with any interest thereon, less any lawful deductions, that
has remained unclaimed by the person appearing on the records of
the utility entitled thereto for more than seven years after the date
it became payable in accordance with the final determination or
[rider] order providing for the refund.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 292
(House Bill 373)

AN ACT to add new Section 1A to Article 53 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Landlord and
Tenant," subtitle "Tenants Holding Over," to follow immediately
after Section 1 thereof, providing that all lessors shall give a
receipt to all lessees whenever they let or lease any interest in real
estate for any definite term or at will IN ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY, and providing penalties for violations thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 1A be and it is hereby added to Article 53 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title
"Landlord and Tenant," subtitle "Tenants Holding Over," to follow
immediately after Section 1 thereof, and to read as follows:

1A.

(a) Where any interest in real estate shall be let or leased for any
definite term or at will
IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, the lessor
shall give the lessee a receipt showing payment and the time period
