poration.

5.    a farmer.

6.    an owner, operator, or manager of a local commercial business.

7.    a physician, engineer, dentist, lawyer, or scientists OR OTHER
PROFESSIONAL PERSON.

The County Commissioners shall additionally appoint the Execu-
tive Director of the Economic Development Corporation of Calvert
County as an ex-officio member of the Authority, without voting
rights.

(b) The Commissioners shall appoint one member to serve until
the first day of July, 1969, and until his successor is appointed and
qualified. One member
THREE MEMBERS shall be so appointed to
serve until the first day of July 1970; one member
THREE MEM-
BERS shall be so appointed to serve until the first day of July 1971.

; one member shall be so appointed to serve until the first day of

July 1972; one member shall be so appointed to serve until the first

day of July 1973; one member shall be so appointed to serve until

the first day of July 1974; one member shall be so appointed to serve
until the first day of July 1975.

(c)  During the month of June, 1969, and during the month of
June annually thereafter, the Commissioners shall appoint a member
to succeed the member whose term will then next expire to serve for a
term of seven (7)
THREE (3) years concurring on the first day of
July thus next following, and until his successor is appointed and
qualified. A member shall be eligible to succeed himself.

(d)  A vacancy in the office of a member, other than by expira-
tion, shall be filled in the manner as an original appointment but
only for the remainder of the term of the retiring member. Members
may be removed by the Commissioners for cause. The Authority
shall elect one of its members as Chairman, one as Vice-chairman,
one as Treasurer, and one as Secretary. The secretary and treasurer
shall be bonded as the Authority directs. Five (5) members of the
Authority shall constitute a quorum, but in no case shall any action
be taken by an affirmative vote of less than four (4) members. No
vacancy in the membership of the Authority impairs the right of
the quorum to exercise all rights and perform all the duties of the
Authority. All members of the Authority may be reimbursed for
their actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.

A manager may be appointed by the Authority, and his tenure of
office shall be at the pleasure of the Authority. The manager shall
