to keep a record of the date, payee or contractor and the purpose and
amount of every disbursement made.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect August 15, 1968.

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-72,
titled "Recreation board—Created; composition; appointment, term,
etc., of members," of the Montgomery County Code 1965, to provide
for the appointment of a Montgomery County Recreation Board by
resolution of the County Council from time to time to include the
composition of the Board, terms of appointment and powers and
duties; to repeal Section 2-73, titled "Same—Ex officio members," Sec-
tion 2-74, titled "Same—Compensation of members; organization
meeting; election of officers; meetings generally," Section 2-75, titled
"Same—Services and facilities," and Section 2-76, titled "Same—
Powers and duties generally"; and to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, Section 2-78, titled "Applicability and intent of article," to
eliminate from such section references to the Montgomery County
Recreation Board.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, THAT—

Section 1. Section 2-72, title "Recreation board Created; composi-
tion; appointment, term, etc., of members," of the Montgomery County
Code 1965, is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

2-72. Recreation board—Creation authorized by resolution.

The County Council is hereby authorized by resolution from time to
time adopted in executive session to create and establish a Montgomery
County Recreation Board and to provide in such resolution for the com-
position of the Board, the terms of office, compensation, and the powers
and duties thereof.

Section 2. Sections 2-73, titled "Same—Ex officio members," 2-74,
titled "Same Compensation of members; organization meeting; election
of officers; meetings generally," 2-15, titled "Same—Services and facilities,"
2-76, titled "Same—Powers and duties generally," of the Montgomery
County Code 1965, are hereby repealed.

Section 3. Sec. 2-78, title "Applicability and intent of article," of the
Montgomery County Code 1965 is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

2-78. Applicability and intent of article.

Except as otherwise provided herein, the provisions of this article
shall be applicable throughout the County and within the recreation dis-
trict, it being the intent hereof that limited recreational services may be
provided hereunder throughout the county, the cost thereof to be defrayed
from county-wide revenues, and that more complete recreational services
may be provided hereunder in the recreation district, the cost of the latter
to be defrayed from special taxes levied in the district. The Department
