Sec. 10-9. Fees.

The county administrative officer may impose reasonable charges and
fees for permits, inspections and other services rendered by the adminis-
trative officials under the authority hereof.

ARTICLE IV—Licenses.

Sec. 10-10. Required to engage an electrical business generally; excep-
tions.

No person shall install, repair, maintain or erect any kind of electrical
wiring, conduits, machinery, appliances, motors, fixtures, signs, radios,
television and electronic equipment, electrically operated heating equip-
ment, elevators or any other electrically operated apparatus or device in
or about any premises in the county without having obtained a license is
required by or having otherwise complied with this title EXCEPT,

(1)   Other than Utility companies regulated by the Public Service
Commission of Maryland;

(2)   Persons making minor repairs and replacements to existing wir-
ing or equipment in their own home ;

(3)  Radio and electronic experimenters and amateurs where no
change in existing wiring is necessary, unless changes are authorized by
the Electrical Administrative Board of the county, and in each case the
applicant must file an application with the departments of permits and
licenses for a permit and inspection.

(4)   Employees of the U.S. Government when engaged in perform-
ance of their official duties only.

(5)   PERSONS WORKING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A
MASTER GENERAL ELECTRICIAN OR UNDER THE SUPERVISION
OF A SPECIFIED REPRESENTATIVE OF A PERSON, FIRM OR
CORPORATION HOLDING A MASTER LIMITED ELECTRICIAN
LICENSE.

Unless otherwise required by this title, no person engaged in the
manufacture, assembly or repair of electrical equipment manufactured by
such person or manufactured for such person by a parent or subsidiary
shall be required to hold or to employ the holder of any of the licenses
provided for by this title solely by reason of such manufacture, assembly
or repair.

Sec. 10-11. Classes—enumerated.

There shall be three classes of electricians' licenses as follows:

(a)   Master general electrician.

(b)   Master limited electrician.

(c)   Restricted electrician.

Sec. 10-12. Same—master general electrician license—Scope.

A master general electrician license shall be issued to any person or
the representative of any person eligible under this title. Any firm or cor-
poration shall be entitled to receive this license if and so long as at least one
of its employees is the holder of a master general electrician license. Such
license shall authorize the holder to perform, or have performed under his
supervision, any of the work described in section 10-10 of this Code. If
such license is held by a firm or corporation any of the work described in
section 10-10 of this Code may be performed for itself or for others.
