AN ACT, To repeal or amend certain obsolete sections or parts of
sections of the Baltimore County Code, which have been rendered such
by adoption of a County Charter, or which have been found invalid
by a court of competent jurisdiction, or which conflict with charter
provisions, or which have since been superseded by subsequent ad-
ministrative regulations, by repealing and re-enacting with amend-
ments Sections 7-90, 7-92, 7-93 and 7-95, and by repealing Section
7-96 of the Baltimore County Code, 1958, title "Courts, Fines and
Imprisonment," Article VII. "Jail and Warden"; by repealing title 8
of said Code and Sections 8-1 through 8-5 thereof, title "Division
Fences"; by repealing and re-enacting with amendments Section 11-
44 of said Code, title "Finance and Taxation Generally," Article V.
"Taxes and Tax Sales," Division 3. "Tax Sales"; by repealing and re-
enacting with amendments Sections 13-9, 13-10 and 13-13 of said
Code, title "Health and Sanitation," Article II. "Board of Health";
by repealing and re-enacting with amendments Section 13-22 of said
Code, title "Health and Sanitation," Article III. "Nuisances Gen-
erally"; by repealing Section 18-19 of said Code, title "Motor Vehicles
and Traffic"; Article II. "Director of Public Safety"; by repealing
Sections 19-7 and 19-13 of said Code (1966 Cumulative Supplement),
title "Offenses—Miscellaneous"; by repealing title 20 of said Code
and Sections 20-1 through 20-4 thereof, title "Pawnbrokers"; by re-
pealing Section 24-12 of said Code, title "Police Bureau," Article 1.
"In General"; by repealing and re-enacting with amendments Section
40A-1 of said Code (1966 Cumulative Supplement), title "Pawn-
brokers"; and by repealing and re-enacting with amendments Section
42-3 of said Code, title "Public Amusements," Article I. "In General."
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Sections 7-90, 7-92, 7-93 and
7-95 of the Baltimore County Code, 1958, title "Courts, Fines and Im-
prisonment," Article VII. "Jail and Warden," be and they are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, all to read as follows:
Sec. 7-90. Warden; powers and duties.
The warden of the county jail shall take charge of the prison and
prisoners therein and have and exercise, during his continuance in office,
the same powers, and be subject to the same penalties and forfeitures and
be responsible for escapes in the same manner and to the same extent as
