center of said road; then continuing on the same line, following the center
of Route 97, and binding on lands of others South 66 degrees 42 minutes
54 seconds East, 207.13 feet to a point in the center of said Route 97, said
point being in the western most line of the present perimeter of the
Corporate limits of the City of Taneytown; then with said western line
of the perimeter (8) South 03 degrees 08 minutes 08 seconds West, 289.79
feet to a point at the lands presently owned by the City of Taneytown;
then continuing on the same line, still following the western line of the
present town perimeter, and binding on lands presently owned by the City
of Taneytown South 03 degrees 08 minutes 08 seconds West, 1011.55 feet
to a concrete monument, the place of beginning containing 47.1407 acres
(neat measure).
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the effective
date of this Resolution all persons residing in the area to be annexed, and
the property therein, shall be and become residents of and property within
the City of Taneytown subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Taneytown.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be-
come effective on the forty-sixth day following its final enactment.

Resolution of October 22, 1968
Whereas, a Petition has been presented to the Mayor and Council of
the City of Taneytown to enlarge the corporate boundaries of the City
by the annexation of a parcel of land contiguous to and adjoining the
existing corporate boundaries of said City; and
Whereas, the Mayor and Council have caused to be made a verifica-
tion of the signatures upon said Petition and have ascertained that the
Petitioner, A. W. Feeser and Company, Inc., a body corporate, is the sole
owner of the real property located in the area to be annexed and have
further ascertained that the only persons residing within the area pro-
posed for annexation are Ignatius Lambert and Rebecca E. Lambert, his
wife.
IT IS RESOLVED, THEREFORE, by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Taneytown that the following parcel of land shall be annexed to
the City of Taneytown and be and become a part thereof:
Beginning for a corner at a point in the center of the Uniontown
Road, said point being the beginning of the North 78 degrees 30 minutes
East, 410.00 foot line of reference deed, then with said line and the outline
of reference deed and leaving said road and binding on lands of the Carroll
County Board of Education,
