1992                              MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

Municipal Charter of the Town of Seat Pleasant on the 24th day of
December, 1968, unless a petition is filed pursuant to Article 23(a), Sec-
tion 13, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as amended,
said petition to be filed on or before the 14th day of December, 1968.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED that
the aforegoing Resolution and Ordinance be and the same is hereby
adopted this 4th day of November, 1968, by the Mayor and Common
Council of Seat Pleasant, Maryland.

TANEYTOWN

Carroll County
Resolution of January 2, 1968

Whereas a Petition has been presented to the Mayor and Council of
the City of Taneytown to enlarge the corporate boundaries of said City
by the annexation of a parcel of land contiguous to and adjoining the
existing corporate boundaries of said City; and

Whereas the Mayor and Council have caused to be made a verification
of the signatures upon said Petition and have ascertained that the persons
signing the Petition represent at least twenty-five per cent (25%) of the
persons who reside in the area to be annexed and who are registered voters
in county elections in the precinct in which the territory to be annexed
are located, and the owners of at least twenty-five per cent (25%) of the
assessed valuation of the real property located in the area to be annexed.

IT IS RESOLVED, THEREFORE, by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Taneytown that the following parcel of land shall be annexed to
the City of Taneytown and be and become a part thereof.

BEGINNING for a corner at a concrete monument at a corner of
the present perimeter of the corporate limits of the City of Taneytown;
then leaving said perimeter and binding on the south boundary line of
lands now owned by the City of Taneytown (1) South 01 degrees 14
minutes 05 seconds East, 11.60 feet to a steel pin; then (2) North 82 de-
grees 02 minutes 28 seconds West, 524.75 feet to a steel pin; then (3)
North 87 degrees 52 minutes 26 seconds West, 231.53 feet to a steel pin
at the southeast corner of the Sauble purchase; then with the perimeter
of said Sauble purchase (4) South 89 degrees 49 minutes 03 seconds West,
612.49 feet to a steel pin; then (5) North 01 degree 04 minutes 35 seconds
East, 1059.27 feet to a steel pin; then (6) North 23 degrees 17 minutes
06 seconds East, 687.75 feet to a steel pin; then continuing on the same line
North 23 degrees 17 minutes 06 seconds East, 30.00 feet to a point in the
center of Maryland State Route No. 97; then still with the Sauble pur-
chase following the center of Route 97 (7) South 66 degrees 42 minutes 54
