ception of six and three-quarters acres described in Liber 2446 at Folio
254 on the arc of a curve to the right with a radius of 790.00 feet a dis-
tance of 86.45 feet (chord S 35° 32' 28" W 86.41 feet) to a point of tan-
gency, thence S 38° 40' 35" W 572.14 feet to a point of curve, thence
on the arc of a curve to the left with a radius of 1000.00 feet a distance
of 71.15 feet (chord S 36° 38' 18" W 71.13 feet) to a point of tangency,
thence S 34° 36' 00" W 414.99 feet to a point of curve, thence on the arc
of a curve to the right with a radius of 180.00 feet a distance of 236.93
feet (chord S 72° 18' 28" W 200.19 feet) thence running with the land
described in Liber J.A. 34 at Folio 73 N 52° 57' 00" W 508.12 feet, thence
running with the northerly line of Quince Orchard Road as described in
Liber 3122 at Folio 527 N 78° 34' 55" W 1049.80 feet to the beginning,
containing 40.8286 acres subject to restrictions of record.
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City
Council of Gaithersburg, the date of the introduction of this Resolution
is the 15th day of January, 1968, and shall become effective on the 2nd day
of August, 1968, unless a prompt petition for referendum thereon shall be
filed as permitted by law, and provided further that the notice required
by law shall be published in the Gaithersburg Gazette, a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Gaithersburg, one each in the weeks of
January 25, February 1, February 8 and February 15, 1968. Said notice
to provide for a public hearing to be held on the 4th day of March, 1968
at 8:00 P.M. in the Office of the Mayor and City Council, Civic Center,
Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Section 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and City
Council of Gaithersburg, that as soon as the Resolution hereby enacted shall
become effective either as herein provided or following a referendum, the
Mayor shall promptly register both the original boundaries and the new
boundaries with the Clerk of the City or similar official thereof, with
the Commissioner of the Land Office, with the Circuit Court for Mont-
gomery County, and with the Director of the Department of Legislative
Reference.
Section 4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City
Council of Gaithersburg, and the persons residing therein, if any, after
the effective date of this Resolution, be subject to all the laws, ordinances
and resolutions of the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The foregoing Resolution was passed at a meeting of the Mayor and
City Council of Gaithersburg, held on the 17th day of June, 1968, at
which time the Mayor and a quorum of Councilmen were present and voted
throughout: 5 Councilmen voting in the affirmative; 0 Councilmen voting
in the negative, and the said Resolution became effective in accordance
