1936                              MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

Whereas, the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Elkton are
desirous of annexing the hereinafter described area into the corporate
boundaries and taxable limits of the Town of Elkton, this resolution is
adopted.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Commissioners of
the Town of Elkton, that a new section to be known as Section 3A of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County of 1961, said Code being
Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (said new section
to be and constitute a part of the charter of the municipal corporation
known as the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Elkton), be and
the same is hereby enacted to read as follows:

3A. The following described area is hereby annexed to and included
within the boundaries and taxable limits of the municipality known as
the Town of Elkton, viz.:

BEGINNING at a spike set in the title line in the bed of a public
road, said road being Maryland State Highway Route #280, said spike
marking the original Southeasterly corner of lands of Martin Dwyer and
the Northeasterly corner of lands now or formerly of Bennfield, said spike
being on the Northerly line of the Elkton, Maryland, Town line; thence
leaving said spike of beginning and leaving said title line in said State
Route #280 and by the Elkton, Maryland, Town line, South 63 degrees
19 minutes 02 seconds West, 4,27.64 feet to an iron pin set for a corner of
this and set for a corner of other lands of Martin Dwyer; thence leaving
said existing Elkton, Maryland, Town line and by the proposed new
Westerly line of the Elkton, Maryland, Town line and by other lands of
Martin Dwyer, North 10 degrees 05 minutes 13 seconds West, 640.47 feet
to an iron pin set for a corner of this and a corner of other lands of Martin
Dwyer, and said pin being in line of lands now or formerly of National
Fireworks Company; thence by the proposed new Northerly line of said
Elkton, Maryland, Town limits, North 79 degrees 54 minutes 47 seconds
East 383 feet to a spike set in the title line in the bed of the first mentioned
State Highway Route #280; thence by said title line in said State High-
way Route #280 and being the Easterly side of same, South 13 degrees
02 minutes 58 seconds East 519.02 feet to the first mentioned point and
place of beginning. Total Area to be annexed is 5.2915 acres of land, be
the same more or less. Also included in said annexation would be the com-
plete right-of-way of State Route #280 from the Northerly boundary line
of the above parcel down to and including the intersection of State Routes
#280 and #279.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the persons
and property included with the aforementioned boundaries and taxable
limits of the area hereby annexed to the Town of Elkton shall be subject
to all the provisions of the charter, laws and ordinances heretofore en-
acted or those subsequently enacted by the Town of Elkton and in addition
all of the Public Local Laws or Public General Laws heretofore or sub-
seque
