1828                               CERTIFICATIONS

"An Act to add new Sections 21 to 27, inclusive, to Article 49B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Vol-
ume and 1966 Supplement), title "Interracial Commission,"
to follow immediately after Section 20 thereof and to be
under the new subtitle "Discrimination in Housing," pro-
hibiting certain forms of discrimination in this State based
upon race, color, RELIGIOUS CREED, national origin or
ancestry with respect to housing and generally prohibiting
discrimination in the sale, lease, rental or financing of hous-
ing units or housing accommodations, and in other respects;
giving the enforcement of these prohibitions to the Com-
mission on Interracial Problems and Relations."

AND I DO certify that at said election 275,781 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 385 of the Acts of 1967 and
343,447 votes were cast against the adoption of Chapter 385 of the
Acts of 1967, the said Act has therefore failed of ratification.

I, C. Stanley Blair, Secretary Of State Of The State Of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 23-11 (c)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition),
Do Hereby Certify, that at the General Election held in the State
of Maryland on November 5, 1968, an Act known as Chapter 732 of
the Acts of 1967, was submitted to the voters of Anne Arundel County
under the provisions of Chapter 732 of the Acts of 1967, said Act
being as follows:

"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 18-1
and 18-2 of the Anne Arundel County Code (1957 Edition,
being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Anne Arundel County," subtitle "Schools," relating to
the use of public school buses by children attending parochial
schools and relating to the payment of the costs incurred
in the transportation of private school students in Anne
Arundel County and the establishment of new routes for the
transportation of such students."
