I, C. Stanley Blair, Secretary Of State Of The State Of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 23-11 (c)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition),
Do Hereby Certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 5, 1968, an Act known as Chapter 318 of the
Acts of 1967, was submitted to the voters of the 5th Election District
of Montgomery County, Maryland, under the provisions of Chapter
318 of the Acts of 1967, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 37
(a) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Local Licenses
and License Provisions," to exclude Colesville (5th district)
from the election districts in Montgomery County where
issuance of alcoholic beverages is prohibited and providing
for referendum thereon."
and I DO certify, that at said election 7,161 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 318 of the Acts of 1967, and
5,098 votes were cast against adoption of said Chapter 318 of the
Acts of 1967, the said Act has therefore been ratified by a majority
of the qualified voters of the 5th Election District of Montgomery
County.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of Annapolis
this 6th Day of December, 1968.
