torney of the County who is in office on the effective date of this
Act, for the remainder of the term in which he then is serving.
The increases in salary provided in this Act for the State's Attorney
of Montgomery County shall take effect at the beginning of the term
of the State's Attorney which begins next after the effective date of
this Act.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 43
(House Bill 465)

AN ACT to add new Section 527 to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, (1967 Replacement Volume), title and subtitle
"Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Sabbath Breaking," to
follow immediately after Section 526 thereof, to authorize exhibi-
tion of motion pictures and employment in connection with such
exhibitions during certain hours on Sunday in Somerset County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 527 be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, (1967 Replacement Volume), title and
subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Sabbath Breaking,"
to follow immediately after Section 526 thereof, and to read as
follows:

527.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of the Code, it shall be
lawful to exhibit motion pictures in Somerset County between the
hours of 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and midnight on
Sunday. The work of any persons in connection with exhibition
of motion pictures during the aforementioned hours on Sunday shall
also be lawful.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
