CHAPTER 41
(House Bill 429)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 182, 183, and 184 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being Article 4 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore City,"
subtitle "Arbitration Committee of the Corn and Flour Exchange,"
repealing obsolete laws of the City of Baltimore which concern the
Corn and Flour Exchange, the appointment of an Arbitration
Committee, and the workings and functions of this Committee.

Whereas, Sections 182 to 184, inclusive, in the 1949 Edition of the
Local Laws of Baltimore City concern the Arbitration Committee of
the Corn and Flour Exchange; and

Whereas, Since there no longer is a Corn and Flour Exchange and
since arbitration procedures now are covered by the Statewide law,
these sections should be repealed as obsolete; now, therefore

, Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 182, 183, and 184 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle "Arbitra-
tion Committee of the Corn and Flour Exchange," be and they are
hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 42
(House Bill 440)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40 (p)
of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1968 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys
in Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," pertaining only to Mont-
gomery County, to increase the maximum salaries of the State's
Attorney, the Assistant State's Attorneys, and clerks; and to
increase the number of assistant State's attorneys from six to
eight and the number of clerks from five to seven.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40(p) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1968 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

40.

(p) Montgomery County.—In Montgomery County, (1) the
State's Attorney's salary is [twenty thousand dollars ($20,000)]
